The Pharos Lighthouse
One of the seven wonders of the ancient world, and once the tallest building on earth, the lighthouse on the island of Pharos was commissioned in 290 BC as a beacon for the port of Alexandra. Fuelled by the sun during daylight hours and by fire at night, the Pharos lighthouse was the only one of the “wonders” to have had a practical value.
Whilst it would be accurate to describe the Pharos lighthouse as a “guiding light”, we have adopted Pharos as our corporate logo for a rather different reason. Scientists at the time were less interested in Pharos as a building but they marvelled at the mirror that projected light to more than 50 km away!
Thus our organisation represents that beacon – reaching out to all who want to discover a better way of being and searching, not only for the master sailor but also for those whose daily battle in the treacherous waters of management and leadership threatens to consume them.
We offer them entry to our port of safety, to take on board rations of new ideas and sustainable benefits, a new chart and a new compass. Ready to begin a new voyage of discovery, we use our huge mirror to reflect power and energy to enable our clients to plot a new course to the most distant horizons and to arrive there with confidence – the vessel, the crew and the master, all in total unity.
