Ian McCalla is a qualified Pharos coach and a founding associate of Pharos Performance Limited. After gaining his degree in electronics engineering, he moved to exploit the opportunities presented by the emerging microcomputer industry and over the next 25 years successfully started, built and sold five hi-tech companies, two to US listed corporations.
As an entrepreneur and business leader in the IT, software and telecoms industries, Ian has learnt much about corporate leadership. The most unambiguous of lessons being that any serious investment you make in your senior managers and staff will be repaid many times when growing and developing a business. It is for this reason that Ian has, over the last 5 years, focussed his energies on helping businesses grow by developing the strengths and capabilities of their leaders and managers.
Ian believes everyone has hidden strengths and abilities and that many executives have undiscovered or undeveloped leadership skills. He specialises in helping these executives unlock those invaluable resources, resolve work / life conflicts and achieve greater success in their business (and sometimes personal) lives.
