Roger Thomas has lived and worked in Scotland ever since gaining his Maths degree at Edinburgh University. He has been a ‘top performer’ with IBM, responsible for the management of its financial and public sector business in Scotland, and a successful sales manager with Scottish Telecom & Thus. As a divisional General Manager with ScottishPower, with the sales, finance, operations and HR functions reporting into him, he set up a joint venture and acquire a chain of retail outlets, dramatically increasing the division's customer base and taking its turnover to £50m+.
Coaching played a key part in Roger’s management roles and he now utilises all his experience as a professional coach and consultant. He also advises the management teams of financial institutions, technology companies, public sector organisations and small businesses on strategy, planning, sales and marketing and the implementation of quality management programmes, in order to enhance their individual and collective effectiveness.
Roger is also a qualified assessor for the Scottish Business Excellence programme, based on the European Foundation for Quality Management, an advisor to Young Enterprise Scotland, and a qualified sports coach.
