Think Differently, work differently

Why are we different?

The following differentiation statements should not be taken in isolation as none of these properties is unique. However, in combination, they make the Pharos Programmes unique in the marketplace.

  • We deliver Leadership and Management development using coaching techniques.
  • Focussed on the achievement of the outcomes (for both the client and the organisation) that are agreed and secured at the start on the programme.
  • Delivered in the place of work of the client. Thus all models and techniques discussed are immediately related to real, live business situations.
  • A comprehensively structured programme, designed to take the client on a journey of self discovery.
  • Flexible structure to meet the specific developmental requirements of the client.
  • Creates sustained change in the client.
  • The onus is on the client to be responsible for achievement of the outcomes.
  • A world class programme used by world class companies.
  • Three highly revealing sets of diagnostic reports (including 360 review) – used as “coaching tools”.
  • Satisfied clients who are prepared to discuss their positive experience of the Programme with others.
  • One-to-one interaction for deep and intense understanding
  • Developed, tuned and delivered over the last 15 years.
  • Pharos coaches are all senior business professionals who have either run their own businesses or held senior management positions in large organisations and thus have a high level of empathy with the challenges faced by the client.
  • Provides a set of tools and techniques that the client can continue to use to address new challenges, long after the programme has ended.
  • Delivered in a non-judgmental, highly confidential and supportive environment and atmosphere.
  • Our clients find the programmes excellent value for money. Because of the structure of Pharos and the Programme, we are able to operate with minimum overheads. These savings are passed to our clients, enabling us to be highly cost-effective, compared to other coaching interventions of a similar scale and standard.
  • The programme encourages (requires) practical application of the learning in real business situations between formal coaching sessions to re-enforce the learning and its value.
  • Each session in the programme builds on the learning and experiences of the previous ones and their application to sustain the improvements in managerial and leadership effectiveness.
  • Whilst the programme is business-oriented, its effects on the behaviours of the client often benefit the client in many non-business situations as well.
  • The design of the programme creates a “cumulative learning effect” through the “journey”,  i.e. the whole is substantially greater than the sum of the individual model parts.

This is what was said long ago: -

Leaders are best when people scarcely know they exist
Not so good when people obey and acclaim them
Worst when people despise them.
Fail to honour people, they fail to honour you.
But of good leaders, who talk little,
when their work is done, task fulfilled,
people will say: "We have done this ourselves!"
